About Me

A Clean House Is a Healthy House

My mother always kept a very clean house, so when she began neglecting her house cleaning, I knew something was wrong. She told me that her arthritis was making it tough for her to clean, but that she "didn't care" and that she would just "live with the dirt." I offered to clean her house many times, but she always told me no and that the dirt didn't bother her. When I noticed her sneezing from the dust in her home one day, I decided to research the health effects of a dirty house and print it all off to show her. After I left the papers with her overnight, she then let me hire a cleaning service to clean her house! I know there are others out there in a similar situation, so I want to share my research and cleaning tips with anyone who needs them!

Three Extra Services That Your Business Cleaning Service Can Provide For Your Retail Company

A cleaning service that comes before you open or after you close is the perfect way to keep your company's building sparkling. Emptying trash, cleaning the kitchens, and making sure that the floors are sparkling, should all take place when no one is inside of the building. A cleaning company is especially important in a retail store as you need to reduce liability from possible debris on the floor and you want the store to look and smell good at all times. For those who are looking for business cleaning services for their retail store, here are three extras to ask for from your retail business.

Stock the refrigerators

Your business cleaning company may be the only service that you trust to be inside of your business after you close for the day. If you tend to keep coffee inside of your kitchen area or if you stock soda or refreshments, ask your commercial cleaning service if they can provide a restocking service. As they are cleaning the kitchen, they will be able to refill the coffee and bring in items that your employees and customers can use. This will decrease your need for a second stocking service or for you and your employees to leave for a grocery store run.

Request steaming services

Many cleaning services will bring along items that can be used for steaming. While this may be used for rugs or floors, if you sell drapes or clothing items that need steaming, you can ask your cleaning service to help with these items. Offer to pay your cleaning service to steam items per piece. This is especially important if you keep linens or items of clothing out on display. Pay per item in order to provide an incentive for the fair cost service from your cleaning company.

Stockroom restructuring

If you run a busy boutique store, you may notice that your stock room tends to get a little bit cluttered during busy seasons and sales. Ask your cleaning company to provide the extra service of tidying up the stockroom. You may want to set aside a day where your cleaning company does purely folding, hanging, and cleaning up the stock room, especially if you have a larger store. If you need to do inventory, which is counting each item that you have in the store and comparing it to your books, a cleaning service can help place like-items together, allowing this task to be done more easily.
